I have seen many videos of SMA as I am planning my first trip there in December (I'm also very concerned about the crowds too)....you showcased the city in a truly artistic way - and you have a VERY good eye! Keep up the good work, Israel.

@Valladolid I stayed only one night because I had food poisoning and I took the bus back to Querétaro....literally I thought I was dying! Didn't have the chance to visit much but the town is very small. The only thing that makes it nice is the church, to be honest. I need to go back and give it another try.

wonderful video Israel . you captured the charm . I just bought property here a couple of weeks ago and I am constantly blown away by the sheer beauty of this city . It's elegance is something people just don't expect to find in the middle of vally . A little blip on a map . I liken SMA to .. If Florence Italy and Santa Fe New Mexico had an offspring ... with a dash of Rodeo Drive and Disney .

Great video. Not too many places in México are cheap anymore since 2020. So it's best to choose the one that you love the best to live and even visit. We live in Playa de Carmen and dont believe it is worth the price we pay. It's hot, dirty, disorganized... And busy! You don't know busy until you've lived here. Lol....I'd rather "over pay" in a beautiful city like SMA or Querétaro or Guanajuato for example.

This is a very beautiful video! I live here and I Love this town. But one correction, you mentioned that 20% of the residents are foreigners. I think that is over-inflated. San Miguel has a population of 160,000 so 20% would be 32,000 expats. Number I usually hear is between 7000 and 10,000 ex-pats living here.

I have lived in SMA off and on since 2008. It is not my "Home" per se. It was at one time, a very fluid, funky and AFFORDABLE place to come to and revive your soul. LOOK at in Now! - a Boujie Boutique Spa-town that is heavily segregated between the wealthy, and Cosplay wealthy elites who exist off the service of underpaid, border-line impoverished Locals! - and THAT is The TRUTH of San Miguel de Allende! Hopefully nearby Guanajuato will repel the "Colonialist" Invader from the North!
