I loved this, thank-you! Great to see the authentic Mexican street food getting the attention it deserves in this international city. I will say though that San Miguel is DEFINITELY not a "totally walkable city" lol I've been visiting for 11 years ... Uneven cobblestone streets and sidewalks, very steep streets ... get your sensible shoes on and be ready to WALK!

Definitely a foodie town! Great video! I’ve lived in SMA over 8 years… The nice part of living in a foodie town is it raises the bar for the entire city, a mediocre restaurant will not survive, including those outside the tourist areas.

Totally understand! There was a different restaurant on every single street and they all had such high-quality offerings. What a beautiful city must’ve been cool to live there!

Nobody does chicken quite like they do in Mexico. We were in France and they are famous for rotisserie chicken, we don’t have to tell you which one we would choose. Also, no habaneros in France😂

Mexico is underrated, otherwise it would be # 1 in a lot of things, how come when we talk about pyramids we only talk about Egypt, and nobody knows Mexico has the biggest in the world? .. about food? and I say this will all respect but there is no country even close to what Mexico offers in gastronomy. @@HeresGoodTravel

We were lucky that our hotel is in the center so we would take breaks there. Most public shopping areas have paid public restrooms for 5-10 pesos. And if you buy a drink at any of the restaurants you’re able to use the restroom.

My rent was 14K per month and after 14 months 15K per month and the USA cost was $672 to $910, as the dollar falls.I save and give to honest none beggars. live in Queretaro next door, since 2021. This is 70% less than the USA in 2021. I am in my 82nd year, and moved here at 79 in 2021. I have been coming to Mexico, mainly Acapulco for over 62 years, since age 20. I speak Spanish as a second language since age 14 among many other languages, and visiting all over the world on my own dime. Great video. I survived the good and bad of the USA for 79 years. I am not afraid of anything, and I support myself, and help honest none beggars. Good and evil is everywhere. $8.25 for a whole Rotisserie Chicken?! - I just paid $8.99 for a No Biotics Whole Rotisserie Chicken at WholeFoods in Brooklyn! I lived in SMA (San Miguel de Allende) in 2012-13, and that same chicken was HALF the price you just Paid! Believe it, or not - People like you - making these "Travel" Videos ARE the Problem of what is happening in places like SMA. Can't you just go and enjoy the place - without Monetizing your "Journey"? With Gringo's - IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!
@HeresGoodTravelАй бұрын
It is definitely true that things are getting more expensive in many areas across the world but we can assure you that we love San Miguel and try to be as respectful as possible when we film. I’m sure that the business who are able to increase their prices and better provide for their families appreciate the influx of business. We make next to nothing in our content and would much rather share an experience with others who are already planning a trip or just motivate them to explore the world. I’m sure Whole Foods effects the economy much more than we do.
