San Patrignano | A Community for Life

For the last 7 years I have been volunteering at a community in Italy called San Patrignano. I help people in the UK who are addicted to drugs and who want to enter the community. I also help those residents who finish at San Patrignano to come to the UK to settle and make a life for themselves here. It's an incredible community full of life and love, enjoy the video.

Then you don't know the whole story. Netflix did an incredibly lopsided film on SanPa and failed to address the amazing things that it has accomplished. Total sensationalism. My daughter is living proof of how well this program works and we are forever in their debt for the lives that this place is saving.

@@ignaciogomez2752 I personally know people that have gone in the recent past. The controversy of how San Patrignano got started, is real no doubt. And it was also 40 years ago. The San Pa Docuseries is a great reminder of how important it is to use evidence based practice in this work. AND this program was founded by an Entrepreneur who didn't want to wait for the government to do something and watch all these people die. No one had best practices for this epidemic at that time, there was no evidence based practice. No one knew how to help heroin addicts at the time. This man, with no training, took action, and what he started has saved the lives of over 26k people. Not to mention the programs all over the world that are using it for a model because it is considered one of the best recovery models in the world by those who serve addicts.
