The 10’s are cool, but w/o a larger exhaust manifold, do the 10”’s provide an increase in performance with that big transition pipe placed in there as You put the new stack’s together??😳 If this was my truck, that would be the next upgrade I’d make personally would be to enlarge the exhaust starting from the cylinder head(s), then the manifold(s), turbo(s), but I’d place the K&N force-feed air intake & filtration too, (I think that’s what it’s called still, I’m not sure now) but see? There’s several things that can be done to make Your truck more powerful. 👍🏽❤️😈 Good luck with this, I don’t think You’ll be disappointed in the journey!

Very nice looking Peterbilt. I was just going to ad a comment about your dads bent fuel tank. I have taken a lot of bemds out of them by pressuring the tank with air and lightly hammer around the bend with a rubber dead blow hammer. Lots of luck with your trucks.

A few weeks ago one of my driver's that drives one of my 1985 W900's. Was approached by a driver as to why his truck has the Stock Style Exhaust Stacks, and not the oversized Sewer Pipes like he has. After that driver had a chance to see the rest of the Truck and noticed the entire Truck is in Original condition. And the 3408 Cat engine. He commented back how great a 33 year old Truck still looks.

The way your antennas are pointed works against you if you want distance. They are vertically polarized and you are in essence directing your signal to the ground and up in the air. Just an FYI. I realize some like the look and set them that way for that purpose too. Stay safe!

i’m going back to smaller pipes , lost to much exhaust velocity with the 8”
@mikegrazio53764 жыл бұрын
that makes absolutely no sense at all. If you knew anything about your truck at all, the diameter of the stacks is only for looks and sound note that you are looking for. HAs nothing to do with performance.The turbo exhaust port is 4 inches and from the turbo all the way to the back of the y pipe is 5".
@psavel2744 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't really understand the comment either honestly. Turbo motors don't need backpressure like an N.A. engine does. You could literally put a sewer pipe on the hotside of the turbo and you aren't going to lose any power.
@scryla20002 жыл бұрын

You need to do the hole underneath from the manifold to make a huge difference.
