On dr pol the theVeterinary show He said that you should imprint on your baby horse. When it's born so It won't be afraid of you. And he's been a vet for over 70 years. This is for anyone that has horses and his horse had a baby he touched the ears the noses the mouth all over it to let it know they won't hurt him or her im just letting you know what he did with their baby horse

I had a knee replacement a few years ago, best thing I ever did. My knee still gets a little stiff but it doesn't hurt.

Karter is the sweetest thing ever! Bad uncle Wester! I loved when you said "you don't wanna go to Houston do you?" She says "yeah" LOL you really started something! Jami, i am SO excited and a little anticipatory anxiety with Storm birthing soon. I can't believe she's sweating and waxing! Do y'all have a cam you can aim at her or move a sec. cam so you know? I would love to watch 24/7! lol Is she in the chute pen? Yes, she will be very protective at first, even with you..she will stand between baby and ppl usu. at first.

I think the horses need to have an enclosed barn. They don’t like the rain blowing in on them and in bad weather people usually put their horses in their own stables. I would LOVVVVVEEEEEE to see you with your own horse barn Jami ❤❤❤ I love Tat, he is a gigantic dopey sweet guy. I think the best thing for Jake would be to get Sully fixed very soon. Wouldn’t it be hard to find someone that would want a bull that’s 50% longhorn 25% Brahma and 25% charleigh?? An Jake isn’t going to want him as a bull so it’s the only choice I see for him 🤷‍♀️

There are plenty of cattlemen out there that run mixed breed herds. Not all herds are registered. Sully is a very good looking bull calf and could have a very good life with a herd of his own. That decision is Jake & Lyssas to make...not Lester & Jami's....

I've noticed at all our events we have in our small tourist town that the vendors are closed by 3/4. Even the food. Even when the event is still going on. Bands are playing. People walking around. We just had our famous Gold Rush Days Festival this weekend.

Lester you need to look into cortisone injections for your knee! They can be a life changer. I speak from experience. I got them twice a year for many years until this year and now I am getting them once every 4 months but I haven’t had to do knee replacement yet! ❤❤❤

My opinion, I think you should be there for Storm, if anything to help her deliver, to help the baby deliver, you and Storm have a one to one relationship and she’ll trust you, and when the baby comes and Storm lets you and I think she will, interact with the baby to start that relationship and trust with the baby, I am not a horse specialist, but I grew up on a dairy farm and witnessed lots of babies being born, like you said, just trust your gut, best of luck and warm wishes for a beautiful baby, God bless

Know Lester was just having fun but little tikes take it to heart! With so much going on for you all, it's good that you try to get out, sucks the flea market was closed, 4 o'clock seems early in the summer. Having bad knees really makes us not to be able to do what we want. Love your rescues they are all so unique!! Excited that Storm will have a foal!! If the lady passed, she was obviously not good and didn't know herself about Stormy. If the foal is a male can you keep it?

Lester I one time adopted 5 black cats that were at the end of their time at the vets office I told the vet they would be outside cats after being oriented to my home and place lived in the country they were happy then hurricane zeta came they stayed in the workshop but started disappearing after the hurricane

All horses are different when they have a baby. The horse my sister's dad had had a baby in March of 1991. We were able to put our hands on the baby that day but she was also really comfortable with us. Storm is going to choose if she is comfortable with you touching the baby. You being there for her during her labor will more than likely be a comfort for her. She may bring the baby right to you after it gets up and walking. You just won't know till she has the baby.

Jami, you should consider Foalert in preparation for Storm's little one. I've been witness to many births, and I've heard nothing but great things about Foalert. It lets you know around 20 minutes before she goes to deliver.

You have to get and follow the signs the horse offers. If she approaches you can get close and if she is giving you stay away, you stay way. We had horses for years and you need to respect and follow her lead.

In east Texas they say, if you can’t pee off the porch, your neighbors are too close. And for Jamie, for long term reasons. You let her clean the baby and you sit there with her since she will be in a secure place (stall). Clean straw and shavings. When the baby tries to stand, longer time than other animals babies, you will likely need to help. In the first 24 hours you will need to use betadine on the umbilical. We could talk for hours.

Could you do an every other day pasture rotation with the mini donkeys into the bigger pasture grazing area?? You have the gate so the minis can’t get to the river and you could close DD in the Wacky Pack Pen with the “doggie” goat door open so they could get to the pasture with the 3 minis then the next day the ABC’s stay in their pen and DD gets to go out.???🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I would suggest putting an adoption fee on the mini donkeys. They are worth money and an adoption fee will deter people who are just interested in making some quick money. Once you find a great home you can remove the adoption fee if you like.

Respectfully: My hope and prayer is that All video creators would stop using their young kids for there video content. In this crazy dangerous world it could become a security safety issue for over exposed kids filmed on all pages who do this. Lester, I have heard you comment before about another video creator who uses his young son in all his videos for content. Some pages that are very successful Never ever film their under age children. NOT TO BE A NEGATIVE NELLY OR RUDE, THAT IS JUST SAYING MY OPINION THAT IS ALL, It great that she rescue the animals that are going to be put down, her HEART WAS AT THE RIGHT PLACE, however it is not great that she take them home, and keep them in a kennel,, because they are not better living in a kennel. She needed to find them a home. Not to be judgemental, but NON KILLED ANIMAL RESCUE SHELTER should of been called, so they could of been adopted out. Some people have animal hording tendency. Yes she may have mouved out from that home, but she probably brought the new rescue in her new home.

PLEASE DO NOT Jami as a natural horse person with over 50 years experience, Please do not interfere with the Mom especially the first 24 hours to 48 hours they need a bonding time.Storm will take care of that baby with her life . Unless there is immediate danger to the foal.Like it’s been attacked its not nursing,not able to walk, not able to stand and follow its mother. If you see problems with the umbilical cord, just give them time to bond. This new age of imprinting is insane and people with the need for hands-on asap is so stressful for the mother..you have years to do that before you’re going to use that horse for anything please leave the mom & baby alone as much as possible.
