I’ve recently begun investigating these great toys and am trying my hand at a build. I did almost everything the same way you did on your first attempt at the mechanism. Your second idea was genius and certainly saves on time and materials. Thank you so much for sharing your process and design. Best of luck on all your builds.

Hi again Ravindra, I like that you have made the wheel and hopper as a separate unit first. Like the engine of a car that you then got to the body. Well thought out as way of perfecting the process while the components are accessible. I was thinking of using balsa wood. Stronger than card and very light. Regards Ian

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm really looking forward to trying to make one of these❤

This is superb, the method of incorporating the wheel bracket into the hopper body and the separate sand hole are very clever. I will recommend this video to people who enquire how to make. One improvement would be to make the acrobat figure of very thin card to be even lighter. Great work and video

I have made many of these, you need to off set the wheel a but so he will spin all the way around one way, you have it to even so he struggles to go one way or the other.

Really enjoyed this. Thank you so much for posting. Some very clever design ideas there. I have also been trying to make one of these and although it looks simple, it isn't. I have no skills as a woodworker or engineer so all of my efforts so far have been trial and error. Could you please tell me a couple of things? What sort of pins are you using to assemble the acrobat? Also, are you using a nut either side of the wheel as a washer, if so, is that to improve alignment?
@RavindraGodbole Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Normal pins are used to hold things in place. Nuts are used for alignment.

@@RavindraGodbole Excellent Video! May I ask what is on the other side of the pins to keep them from falling out or a arm/leg from falling off?

Great work! What kind of white glue are you using? Basically like Elmers (American school glue?)

Regular glue will work. Fevicol is the famous Indian brand I use.

I think some Higher viscous liquid (oil) may work in the 2 bottle system you made. Maybe density is also a factor in it. As always great video.👍👍
