Hi Steve. Great Achievement. Wish I could do some Rallys with my Scrambler. But I do not feel confident enough yet and here in Europe, there are no races like you have in the US. Great info about your mods. Thanks for the video. I have one of the first editions here in Europe, still runs strong no major problems so far. @steve_kamrad52162 жыл бұрын
So you flip the black plastic bushing and leave the springs where they are. Hopefully this makes sense. If you look at the black plastic piece it's longer in one direction so the black tops out faster once you flip it. We did clean up the inside of it with a lath so it slides over the shock body easier too

Awesome as always Steve, have you considered 1. A lighter set of pipes (akro/Verex)? and 2. a DNK tune? Steve, awesome race! My choice between the Ducati Desert Sled and the 1200XE was ultimately decided by watching your first Sand Blast video. I wanted a motorcycle with a classic style but with great off-road capabilities. The constant reviews by people unfamiliar with off-road riding were simply irritating. I found your real approach and decided on the 1200XE. So far I love the bike and put it through the same style of riding. I’m glad to see you are still racing Sand Blast. I’m in the South West U.S. and want to enter rally races now that I know how to handle and control the bike in sand, stone, and mud at decent speeds. Any suggestions on rally races in AZ, NM, NV, or TX worth entering? Congratulations on the top finish!
