This week we head to Sand Hollow for a couple of trails with Gabe, Randy, and Maxxis Mike.
This trail is called “The Turtles”, because there are a few obstacles that can land shorter wheelbases on their lids! It is an 8 rated trail. Oversized tires, skid plate, and lower gearing/clutching is recommended.
This trail can be hard to find, as it is not marked. This trail is short in total distance, but is non-stop action, and it’s an out-and-back trail.

I love these trail guides. Where is the entrance to the Turtles? Is there a sign? I know trails like The Ledges are sign free.

There is no sign for it. It’s near Ledges, but wouldn’t know how to tell you to get there without going out and dropping a google or Apple pin. We can try next time we’re out there
