In the jungles of Central America, a specialist unit of the British Army is teaching the fine art of being a military officer.
A team from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is taking cadets from Belize through a course that could transform them.🌴
Instructors from the world-famous Royal Military Academy Sandhurst have travelled all the way there to train 25 cadets in the art of being an officer. 🇧🇿
@FTVHan went to have a look!

Level up what exactly if they actually cared about the U.K. they’d be stopping the dinghys not fighting pointless wars.

@@britishempireno1fan851 for the staff investment the benefits far outweigh the costs and anyway, stopping dinghies is not the army's role..what would the role of DS from Sandhurst be in that? They are from the army..you would want troops deployed on every beach and inlet of the south coast - plus by the time they would see the people, they are not going to be in dinghies

Rubbish. Working class men were thrown into the trenches of WW1 and proved to be heroic and resourceful soliders within a matter of hours... All the training in the world doesn't make a soldier, it's up to the individual.........

I did a few church mission trips to Belize. As a former soldier, I can see how that sort of country can pose as a challenging training area. The marshes and then the triple canopy are just unbelievable to try to negotiate through. And there are all sorts of wildlife you need education on before you go out there. One summer it rained. And rained. I remember getting eaten alive out there. Best of luck to those young Belizean recruits.

Belize is as much a sovereign nation as the UK is. Our continued cooperation is beneficial for both of us and it’s what Belize wants. I seriously doubt the people of Belize sees this as rebranded colonialism.

@@louicoleman2910 British slaves flee south into Guatemalan territory where there is no black slavery. Britain agrees to build road to connect Guatemala to the Atlantic in return for the southern land and fails to build road. Britain then proceeds to give the land it doesn't own to it's former slaves. Britain has caused problems worldwide such as the Transatlantic Slave Trade , South Africa - Boers concentration camps, India - Starvations and Deaths by Famines, Australia - Murders of Aboriginal and Torres People, Kenya - Murders of Kikuyu people, Chinese opium war, etc. Hopefully one day the monroe doctrine will be enforced to kick Britain out of central America and the ICJ will expose this rebranded colonial attempt of an overseas territory in occupied Guatemalan territory.

Dude, this is not a matter of decades or centuries-old history, it’s a matter of self-determination and democratic will. The people of Belize identify as Belizean, not Guatemalan; they are entirely self-governing and have no constitutional ties with the UK (besides the Queen of the UK being the Queen of Belize [though in separate capacity as the Belizean Crown]); and the Belizean government and people are happy to have British military presence and training in Belize. It’s not about history, it’s about people’s democratic wants and needs today only!

I figured this guy was Guatemalan. They're the only ones bitter that the Brits are there to help Belize from being invaded by them.
