Sandi Patty - When Life Gets Broken (with Heather Payne)

Yes, life is tough. Life gets broken. What can we do? Well, we can get on our knees and turn to God and ask Him for help. And guess what? He will give it. Sometimes it's humbling to have to ask for help, but that's what He is there for. So call on him.
This song was written by Matt Hybarger and Michael O'Brien. A duet with Heather Payne, formerly of Point Of Grace. It's on Sandi's album "Edge Of The Divine". I can't say enough good things about this album. Every song is wonderful, and a refreshing change in style from Sandi's usual stuff, not that there was anything wrong with that style, but it's just nice to have a change of pace. I strongly recommend this album.

Ms. Love, I have been through just about all the brokeness one can get dished at upon this earth. I lost my daughter, my ex left me for a woman at his job shortly thereafter, lost home, most of my material things stolen by so called friends while recovering in hospital, & currently am very ill. Have tubes from abdominal area, etc. Severe daily pain. It's hard, sure, I cry at times. We're human. God is AWESOME, and we need faith, to have our answers as God wills. He is RIGHT there with you Always. He doesnt move away from us, we do from him. Rebuke satan, like he did in the name of Jesus. I'll be praying for you. We all have a purpose here. Just because you are a believer doesn't mean everyday will be sunshine and rain, if you never fall or if you don't feel a drift, how will you know that God is a deliver, if you never get sick, how will you know that he is a healer? When you feel your faith is drifting, call on Jesus, for his word says he will never forsake you. When things are happening to you and you don't understand why, ask God "what lesson do you want me to learn in this situation and how do I give you the glory" for Shanice understand you must work the faith you have and not dependent on yesterday. The Bible says "faith without works is dead" you got girl, work the faith that you have and watch he turns your midnight into day, He can do it. He loves you!!!

Very good advice @Jean. And @Shanice, let me share a couple of Bible verses with you about strife. Like Blessings Jean said, God didn't promise us a bed of roses. John 16:33 (Jesus speaking) says "In this life you *will* have trouble." So, no bed of roses promised, but troubles are indeed promised. But that's not the end of the verse - here's the rest: "But take heart, for I have overcome the world!" How comforting is that?!? Then Romans 5:3-4 says "we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Think about that. Suffering leads to perseverance (also read James 1:2-4 here). And perseverance builds character. And, finally, character gives us hope (and faith). Yeah,@Shanice, I know it's hard to "glory in our sufferings", but remember "God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

The point of living is that God has a plan for your life. Read Jeremiah 29:11. Read Ephesians 2:10. Read Romans 5:3-5. As for any struggles you are having, read John 16:33, where Jesus says "In this world you will have troubles." So don't be surprised that you are struggling. But that's only the first part of the verse. The second part says "But take heart! For I have overcome the world!" And He will help you overcome if you just trust in Him, discover His personal plan for you, and obey it.
