Having been raising sheep (and goats) for about 20 years now, I find that there are times you just know there’s something wrong, even when you can’t quite put your finger on it. And frankly, I’d rather intervene and find that it wasn’t necessary, than to hold off until it’s too late.
@Sandra-hk8ks21 күн бұрын
Amen, me too. I couldn't stand and watch a baby die.😢I've seen channels that do that, I won't watch anymore its to upsetting.
@anna907221 күн бұрын
@ yes, I see people berating others who “interfere” with birthing, and insist that you’re going to disrupt the mother/infant bond or some such. Just here you can see how wrong that is - you have the mother who lambed entirely without assistance who rejected her lamb, as well as one who had both pulled and happily and enthusiastically mothered both. And in the second case, without assistance it’s highly probable that both lambs and the mother would have died. Nature isn’t nice, and it isn’t forgiving.

They are so cute, my daughter cow had her calf yesterday morning 5am in the field in the snow. It was fine till the calf got up to nurse and mom decided she wanted no part of it. Mom started pushing her down and kicking her. So they had to save the baby. They took baby to the vet so he could make sure she was ok gave her a shot of antibiotics no broken bones but some of her baby teeth were broken. They named her Anna Bell and she is staying in the house till she gets bigger. I told my daughter about you and your sheep. She also has 2 sheep, Janet and Rita. Merry Christmas to your family.

Mom of a kid with cancer tip … our son had a similar reaction to milk after chemo. It took us forever to figure out what was wrong but we finally saw Dr Bax in London and he told us that it’s fairly common for kids who have undergone chemo to have reactions to the protein(s) in milk. After completely eliminating dairy from our son’s diet, he has been fine. Unfortunately, the yucky vegan cheese is all that he can have. May not be the case for Jess, but I wanted to mention it just in case. ❤

That little apartment is such a cool thing of you to do for Jess! On behalf of all the other adult children who have had to move home because of the housing crisis, Thank You ❤️ And when Jess doesn't need it, it'll be the perfect little b'n'b for all the volunteers to come and feed those bottle lambs! 😁😉
