I saw this pop up and saved it to savor after work. I think one of the things I like best about your haul videos is that it’s not haul for the sake of haul but truly is about what you use and, best of all, how you use it. It doesn’t make me feel like I’m just watching excess (does anyone else feel that way with haul videos?)

Hi Sandi, Enjoyed your lovely video ! I would like to recommend an art book to you that I thought you might enjoy, that is if you aren’t already aware of Elizabeth Blackadder. She is and was a renowned artist from Scotland. There are several books but the one I purchased was put out to mark her 80th birthday by the National Galleries of Scotland. It is a retrospective of her work. Just thought you might find it interesting. There are a few still life’s that somehow connected her work to you in my view. Thank you.

When my gel medium lid gets stuck on, I take the tip of my scissors and stick it under the lid as far as I can and bend the lid slightly to break the seal of the medium that has glued the top and the bottom together. I do that several times around the top and usually I can get it to come off by myself that way. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info Sandi. I haven’t tried the soft body yet. But Sandi, at about 25 minutes into the video, I noticed the painting behind you over your right shoulder-the one that looked like it had a largish white lily with pink center. I asked you to move over so I could see the whole painting, but I guess you didn’t hear me. So-maybe you can show us that one soon? 😋😁

I'm going to be honest with you, I haven't finished watching this video yet but I wouldn't put too much hope in that easel. I got the same one just from a different brand I believe which was also a bit more expensive. It barely worked. The locks aren't very strong and being 222 lbs it nearly kept falling over and down. And the bar isn't all that great either. I just use it occasionally to hold up books when I do my art if I need to.

I am really liking the Flash paint a lot so will probably use most of that up too before I splurge in a new bunch. The cheap easel looks like a good buy for sure and I have been looking at one at Walmart that is supper cheap and looks a lot like this one you are showing. Will let you know what I think. Hi Sandi! Enjoyed your video. You are so organized and knowledgeable about your paints. I’ve never added matte medium to my acrylics…do you add it to make the paint less shiny? I use matte medium when I collage so I wasn’t clear as to why you add it to paint….or I wasn’t paying close enough attention!
@sandihester2 жыл бұрын
It’s to thin it without compromising the binding agent. If you thin acrylic too much with just water it won’t bind well to the surface.
