Muy buen trabajo. Entiendo que había demasiado peso en la parte alta del eje y por eso vibraba tanto. Al compensar hacia abajo el peso, eso distribuyó mejor la inercia. Ah, you could have left the wooden dowel inside to add more rigidity, it was such a nice fit. Nice vibration free drum now.

But then the spindle of the sander wouldn't fit through unless he could drill a perfectly straight hole through the dowel...

Best improvement you can make to that, is to make another doughnut to go on the top but with the diameter of the threaded shaft, better still drill half way through the new doughnut to the diameter of the aluminium shaft, drill the other half new doughnut with the diameter of the threaded shaft.

That's creative, if scary, design and use of a table saw jig. Perhaps finding a way to drive the workpiece away from the blade would make this somewhat safer... or it might be time for you to buy or make a lathe! Stay safe out there, it'd be sad if you stopped putting out content because you lost a couple fingers or worse

@@billboy7390 I had a piece of wood explode and the debris fly back at me while trying out this method to make dowels. I don't blame the channel, my execution wasn't that great, and I insisted, even when the piece was vibrating a lot. The piece was probably too long, not a very good wood for it (too hard)... My bad. Still, I ended up with a big shard of hardwood stuck 3 cm into my hand. Fortunately, nothing too bad, but maybe it's not the safest method...

я ж в прошлый раз говорил про расколбас. надо под колпачковую гайку конус в трубку центрующий поставить..что за упрямые люди.

По делу, хотя с одной стороны когда немного бьет по оси - пыль отлетает с абразива, но все же станку это не к лицу, износ от вибраций все же

а вот как такой конус изготовить - просто. В стиле "все без токарного станка" - гайку на винт до шляпки догнать, их в дрель, и протачить на электронаждаке/гриндере. Вопрос на три минуты

@@wassiliytruntaev5958 я так понял снизу надо тоже как-то центровать (или я не заметил)..да. гайку можно законусить -шуруповерт + болгарка. на встречных курсах. можно взять удлиненную и потом отрезать.(удлиненную проще зажимать )..ну это к примеру....биение для изделий тоже плохо..+ износ неравномерный.

@@sergnemo2379 Конечно просится нормальная центровка везде, да и резьбовая шпилька несерьезная, но - красота идеи в простоте исполнения и полной доступности и материалов и технологий, за что и спасибо автору! А про удлиненную гайку да, хорошо, ну и про конусы ставить с двух концов тоже
