Thank you, we’ve all done it - I went up to 1200 once cos I wanted to see how smooth I could make the wood feel 🤣

Thank you, I carve it until it feels ‘right’ to my hands; I don’t like leaving a blocky heel so try to get it to feel like a neck-through.

I have built several guitars and messed up the finish just about every time. I found a guy in a woodworking forum that lived about an hr away he does a great finish but he is in now way inexpensive.

Finishing Is easy to mess up & hard to get right. I usually use oil & wax as it’s simple & effective. Going for a wipe on lacquer on this one, hoping for a satin look finish

How did you sand the skinny sides?

Started with a bobbin sander 80 & 120 grit, then when using finer grades I use foam sanding blocks that mould to the contours as you move around. Thanks for watching 👍
