Sanditon Escape

Sanditon is a period drama based on an unfinished novel by Jane Austen.
In this scene from the first series, Charlotte Heywood attends a ball where she is left on her own (except for a pity dance). She escapes to a nearby room and finds another escapee, Lady Susan Worcester, already there. The conversation eventually turns to Charlotte's feelings for Mr. Sidney Parker. The entire series is good but the knowledge Lady Worcester passes on is a surprise for Charlotte but it's so, so true. The way she expresses it delights me every time I think of it. I love Lady Susan's character! She's kind of like a beautiful fairy godmother; appearing out of thin air just when our heroine is in need of some much needed help, guidance and advice as she offers her support and encouragement. I hope that we'll get to see more of Lady Susan in Season 2 and I am hoping for a Season 3!!!

I agree, although maybe the story line is that none of Sidney and Charlotte's suitors will satisfy and they'll get together with better chemistry... or maybe I watch too much Hallmark.

She probably loves MOST parties (after all, she's a Lady) but just not this one. Good thing for us because I think this is the best part of a really great series. I especially like the way Charlotte cuts her eyes at 0:52.
