You’re actually really close. I actually used Some New Super Mario Bros. DS instrumentation in here, with a specific instrument from Shifting Sand Land from SM64 DS. Good Ears! ;)

For the intro, I used the original Genesis synth from Sandopolis, and layered an instrument called a Sitar on top of it. I did the same thing for the remainder of the instruments.
