I'll admit I'm late to the party. Most people already know what I'm just finding out. What can I say? I don't get around much anymore. However! Sandra Nkaké is absolute fire. I came across this track by sheer accident. "Fairy Tales " knocked me off my feet. With it's deep jazz/house groove and Nkaké's rich sexy voice I was instantly transported to the smokey juke joints of the 40's and 50's where singers and musicians would have late night jam sessions or band battles to see who had the deepest and sharpest groove. This cut is so lit, it knocks all pretenders right off the stage. I find it incredible that I haven't heard more of her work. The people who do music awards shows need to get hip. I may have come late to the party but these suckers don't even know a party is going. So let me throw this out there... Sandra Nkaké is paying her dues and deserves to be recognized for her work ya dig? Wake up and get some new blood in the game y'all.
