They BOTH are standout starts. I think it is completely wrong to discredit Sandra because you want to acknowledge Jodie. They BOTH match each other's performance when it comes to acting out this character. Jodie's character just seems more interesting because she is so obnoxious, immature, of a character, but there is a lot of mystery to Sandra's character as well. I notice some fascinations she had with blood and cutting herself I wonder what that develops into. Her character may surprise us.

Jodie and Sandra are great together ! But simply in Love with Villanelle Jodie is amazing but i love seeing them together !
@fassbrig6 жыл бұрын
Sandra deserved all the awards she won for a subtle performance of a woman whose life is unravelling through her obsession. Jodie was very good as Villanelle, but for me the character needed more depth (not Jodie's fault). From the S2 trailer it looks like Villanelle is going to have more depth. And Eve's character is going to go darker. Together Sandra and Jodie are magnetic. Fiona is so good as Carolyn as well. Kim Bosnia is/was so good as Konstantin and Owen McDonnell; David Haig; Kirby Howell-Baptiste; Sean Delaney and Darren Boyd all played their part, along with Phoebe Waller-Bridge's scripts; the costumes, the sets, the editing, the direction and the music.
@ratnadipdas82196 жыл бұрын
You nailed it. Jodie's performance is more scene-stealing as her character is quite loud, for lack of a better word but Sandra was massive in navigating Eve's arc and her descending into madness in pursuing Villanelle. Cannot wait for season 2. The two of them have excellent chemistry.
