Sandra, you've completely won me over with the orange slices! I live in Florida and am a native. Our state fruit is the orange and our state flower is the Orange Blossom. My state is a great one, with beautiful weather and a beautiful landscape towards the North end of the state (where I hope to live in the not so far future). All this to say I would love to make some orange slices as Christmas ornaments for my tree next year. I will definitely look for the pattern for those on your blog. My goodness you are SO talented ... your crochet and knitting are lovely, your sewing, your embroidery ... you ALWAYS inspire me!

The tree is beautiful with the red and white, and the orange slices are so darling. I'm sure your embroidery will turn out beautiful ... yes some of the patterns and stitches are intimidating at first, but I find if you jump right in and follow Nicki's instructions, before you know it your stitching is turning out marvelously and you have a lovely piece in the end. You absolutely spoil us once again with your Christmas makes and goodies...So much so I shall definitely re watch my favourite bits again( most of it basically!!!) I adore the hand embroidered Christmas tags, such attention to detail! Joined several months ago to replace keyboardist and help with backing vocals.. good fun and a learning curve! How terrific your daughter is learning guitar!!! I hope she's enjoying it! Both guitar and piano are my picks for top instruments for learning music. This was lovely Sandra. I specially loved the orange slices. I’ll have a go at that. I bought some actual oranges to make dried slices but I couldn’t bring myself to put the oven on for that long just to dry oranges 😂😂. Crochet sounds like a more sustainable option and I can eat the oranges. Xxx

Your embroidery is beautiful. I’ve been learning from Sarah Homfrey on You Tube. She has done tutorials on virtually every stitch in the company of Ginger Cat. The orange slices will be wonderful for an indoor wreath. Hope you find the shawl. Has Bertie sneaked off with it to cuddle up into? 😂. The Advent calendar is beautiful. The horse patterning on the embroidery - I would transfer to the other pictures and do them as outlines and patterns not satin stitch - trial your other stitches?

I totally get that your confidence is lacking for stitching the satin stitch embroidery, take a little bit of advise from me, just have a go, practice it, believe in yourself. Look at how beautifully you did the couch stitch on the candy canes, and how gorgous the wreaths look that you so cleverly made.
