This (mostly) works quite well. What I like best about it is that it isn't like anything else -- and that's a difficult thing to bring off in the modern era when we tend to think (erroneously, as this piece demonstrates) that there is really nothing very new. Dare I suggest that its quite "driven" nature might have benefitted from some small variation a bit more introspective, something to give us a moment to collect our respective breath? Still, it's a wondrous piece of pure music, and I'm grateful to Sandro Nebieridze for sharing it with us.

It's just that you're not Georgian, and your breath is too short ;) the "driven" thing is (to my humble feeling and opinion) coming from the deeper Georgian energy and force of rhythm Mr. nebieridze brings. Listen to Khatchaturian's "rural-like" pieces in Gayaneh , especially his own conducting of Wiener Filharmoniker to understand what I mean. Personally, I think I never "loved" or kept in my mind, or tried to sing or memorize anything "contemporary" beyond Prokofiev (last of the classics for me) this piece included - but it sounds great and enjoyable, and bright and very very alive.
