My DM is a massive CR fan and used the same strength checks for arm wrestling at a festival in our game. I play an Stronk Lesbian Aasimar Paladin, and my DM gave me a custom magic item that allows me to Rage like a Barbarian would. (I think that was at minimum 30% so that he can make Yasha jokes at me lmao, but it also fits nicely with Oath of Vengeance) So I ended up arm wrestling with the Goliath Captain of the King's Guard. We went back, forth, back, forth, finally we were in the middle. Whole party is losing our minds. I rolled a Natural 20. The Goliath rolled a Natural 1. I snapped his arm and broke the table too, for good measure. Then, as a power move, I used Lay on Hands to heal his arm before walking away with my winnings.

Grog was a Goliath which are mountain born and often go around the world looking for fights. Yasha is a Assimar which is basically the fallen angel race. So while she has similrities that is mostly due to the class and not race and personality sorry to bash your hopes
