Great series on Fraser. Love your informative deadpan style and music! Subscribed. Driving at night on a rising tide on Fraser is something I won't do again myself after I crashed into some coffee rocks at high speed last year while trying to beat the tide at night. Dented all 4 rims and ripped out the underside of my bumper and left wheel arch. Swapped out the worse damaged wheel with the spare once back on the mainland and limped back to Sydney on 3 dented wheels :o

Love the 3 Vids. Have you done Morton Island yet in Qld, Its very nice and of course not as far for you to travel to. Only problem with Morton Island is the ferry fair and not recommended during holiday times or summer. Keep Safe

Tyler Thompson Cheers! Had a good 3 days on the island. Got bogged at Ngkala but it was a rookie mistake. Followed too closely behind my mate and had to back off on the really soft section about 25m from the coffee rock pool - soon as the revs/momentum dropped I was screwed. Lesson learned! I don't understand why people get bogged there for hours - dropped my pressures a bit more, bit of shovel work and backed out down the hill. Too many I reckon spin the wheels till they're on the chassis.

Awesome stuff mate! Yeah I think mostly it is people don't let enough air out of their tyres, makes such a huge difference. And possible having too much weight
@lyleneumann22456 жыл бұрын
Another great video Tyler. If you do go to Morton Island next year, I wouldn't mind following you over there. Everyone I know that go 4wdriving got to much of a heavy foot for my liking. you seem to be more gentle on your ute.
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yep I go pretty easy on it, not keen on breaking it haha, we don't have any plans for Moreton Island yet but definitely on the cards down the track!

How many K's did you end up covering during the whole trip within Fraser?
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, not too sure sorry, didn't keep an eye on it. Used about a tank and a half of diesel. Would have been a few hundred KM's

Great video mate! Is there still any tough rocks on the beach between Eurong and Eli Creek? I got an unmodified vehicle, I went there around the end of July, and it's hardly to pass by the factory vehicles.
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think there was an area there where the rocks were that was unpassable once it got up around high tide, somewhere around Eurong. Most spots on Fraser are fine for an unmodified 4wd mate
