There's a bulletin for them if the heater goes cold there is inline filter from inverter to heater i think from memory and it gets blocked due to casting debris and you have to flush the system with a special formulea available from mitsubshi and should sort the issue

Interesting…Is it possible there is an issue at the temperature blend door within the plenum Sandy? Maybe ramp up the electric water pump speed (via scan tool) and crack the bleeders. Good luck. Will watch for part 2 🍀👍🍻

Is there only one coolant filter in the car? I mean the one you are cleaning in the video. Or are there more coolant filter/s?

@@sandyande Thanks for your answer. Why I am asking is because in some videos it looks like there is a filter in the 4-way valve. And in some videos it looks like there is a thermostat. Which one is correct? I have an Outlander PHEV 2017 where I have cleaned the "hose" filter but still no heat in the cabin.

You could do with one of them funnels that go on the rad and raise the fluid up to highest point. lisle I think mine is others are available. 😊😊

Was there any resolution. My matrix fails automatically just like his . Mitsubishi platform engineer recommends a new matrix. But what about the debris trapped everywhere else. I.e. the heater core. 4 000.00 for a matrix . Couple grand for a new heater core. Not worth fixing. 100.000 miles. Everything else is perfect. Now it's scrap unless you live in Dubai.
