There will never be another series to compare to Sanford & Son. The best of the best. Such a sad time when the series ended. Still great to watch today. Very special cast never to be equalled.

I watch this particular episode every year especially during the holiday season because growing up on chicago's southside, during the 1970s, my family and i made our holidays family fabulous and sooo much fun. Also, my grandparents always played Nat King Cole every holiday. We'd all be in front of the tv set watching shows like Sandford and Son. All In The family, That's My Mama, The Waltons, The Rookies, Police Woman, Barnaby Jones, Rockford Files, Mannix ,Baretta, Shaft, Sonny and Cher, Night Gallery and a host of other great tv shows back then. Oh, and, let me NOT forget watching the commercial with the Budweiser Clysdale horses strutting to the famous Budweiser song while pulling a very decorated sleigh at Christmas time. (thumbs up) Thank you so much for loading this particular episode and bringing a huge smile to my face today.

Good times, eh? There was just something so special about that time period. I guess it was the simplicity of it all. We've kinda been spoiled by all the excess of technology, streaming etc. But Imo simple is usually the best.

They never showed this episode in syndication in our area. Didn't see it for the first time until last night on the Sanford & Son DVD collection. It's from Season 5. It's interesting to see what kind of spin TV shows and movies have put the "A Christmas Carol" story over the years. This episode had some nice moments.

Watching this happy as hell because its September 16th which is exactly 100 days until Christmas. Every year I do my 100 days until Christmas movie, TV shows, and cartoon marathon, and I started today. I have over 250 Christmas movies, TV shows, and cartoons saved on my Kodi, and this year I am going to try to watch every single one of them by Christmas so I have to start today and watch around 2 1/2 Christmas programs from today until Christmas to get through them all. I have never been able to watch them all, but I am damn sure going to try this year.

Please whenever you get a chance, please research the origin of Christmas. Not a true day to honor. God said it's a vain custom, not to bring a tree in your house n whomever celebrates that vain custom are brutish and foolish(Jer 10(KJV)). Christmas is a false god n idol worship. Satan glorifies this day but spiritually, we are not to celebrate it and many more man made holidays. Lord's Holy Days we are to keep are read in Lev 23(KJV). www.independent.co.uk/news/long_reads/dark-side-christmas-saturnalia-christmas-carol-dickens-norse-mythology-festive-traditions-a8112341.html Peace n Grace!💕

Actually, looking at this now, it might be the guitarist, Herb Ellis, that's humming. Bubba doesn't look like he's humming at all.
