Very few people notice the fact that Kumar Sangakkara has the 2nd most runs in history of international cricket after the great Sachin Tendulkar. He also has 63 international centuries ( 4th highest of all time after Sachin, Kohli and Ponting). He has a triple century in test, holds the record for 4 consecutive centuries in ODI history (never even equalled till date) and has been one of the best wicket keepers of his generation. Whenever we talk about all time greats of the game, we take various names but how often we ignore this man. Sangakkara is one of the best ever players in cricketing history to have played this sport. Being one of the best teams of the early 21st century, it was a shame that they always finished on the wrong side in the knock out stages of ICC tournaments for nearly 8 years.
