If we really wish to hear near normal हिंदवी भाषा talk to giramitiya ( endentured) Hindu or even Muslims in countries like fizi ( फ़िजी). मेरे पिता विद्यालय में हिंदवी के शिक्षक हैं , आप एक बार हमें सेवा का अवसर दें हमलोग अपने वाहन में आपको फ़िजी का भ्रमण करिएवो ( ancestor was भोजपुरी)… this was request of my one patients daughter . similar things can be seen in Netherlands ( coming from Surinam)… and they are still largely preserved their identity ( old Bhojpuri).

Yes, Kapoor has point, India improved it's literacy from 16% at independence to 70% now , but by perpetuating the Macaulay education spiced by colonial leftist notion of Hindu society....the govt of free India has surpassed British rulers in creating the huge number of hindus completely rootless, endlessly feeling inferior, denigrating our great culture and money minded. As Jain says the societal revival is still feeble as the Hindu in name only still outnumber sanatanis.

Fabulous information. One point- ancient rajas can't b called royalty in western sense. They r leaders/governors elected by people just like today. And no rigid line between army and civilians as duties overlapped as and when required. Also, the word conversion may not be very accurate because Jain, Buddhist and Hindu dharmik principles overlap. It was more about people following teachers they liked. Like nowadays people follow sports teams. All 3 groups were of similar mindset, killed or did suicide for prayaschit or honour. So for them Ahimsa wasn't about not killing or dying.

No, it is not practical to have one discussion in all the regional languages of India. Perhaps the best option is to have its translated versions in different languages and post the same for use of different regions of India. It is an expensive option but it is the only way possible today. Let us be honest to recognize our weakness. We are satisfied with a foreign language, the English, but not Hindi.

Nice talk. A few points, however: Ms Jain uses the terms, AD and BC-- she should.use CE and BCE, respectively according to current norms. Islam was founded in 6th century and the first muslim invasion (Arabs) of Bharat occurred in 8th century, so obviously forced conversions started after 8th century.
