Vedas are not books in the modern sense. But what is a samhita? Besides, ancient Indians DID write tons of manuscripts which were passed down through time in libraries. Western world could conveniently deny this because most of the manuscripts were already destroyed. Unlike the Mesopotamian and Egyptian texts which were carved in stone. Still, it's the oral tradition in Bharat which survived through history. Until now.

It's not a Mistake. It's the Wish of the Divine only. Because the Ego of Prajapati has to go away. Just like any other situation, it depends from which perspective we are looking at the topic.
