I noticed on Amazon this model has button quality issues. Just look at all reviews before buying. Cheers.

Interesting, I have had many Sangean pocket radios with zero button issues. The only problem I had was the DT-800, it has a horrible jog style side switch.

I myself am surprised how well most Sangean radios receive on the AM band, even the ones such as their headphone radios. That's why I would recommend them if you want a small portable radio that recieves quite well.

I enjoy putting my DT-120 in my pocket for walks. Love the size and the clear reception. Edit- it is white instead of black, might be why its different model name.

Does yours have a clock? The DT-180 does, and I noticed my DT-120 does not.

Hi Todderbert, thanks for the AM bandscans with the Sangean DT-180. It would be nice to have this pocket radio and add it to my radio collection. And yes, I like the Sangean radio brand a lot. Take care, Todderbert, and have a nice evening.

I like the Sangean radios as they can tune in 50 kHz increments on FM. As I also liive in the Chicago area and tuning in 50 kHz steps allows tuning in the station at the bottom of the FM band (MeTV FM) to be tuned in properly. They advertise their frequency as 87.7 but actually they brodcast at 87.75 MHz. That is the frequency for the TV channel 6. Back some years ago that was the only channel that was still broadcasting with an analog signal. That mentioned that that station could be listened to on a TV if you tuned in channel 6. On channel 6 (per the FCC) they had to brodcast with some kind of video along with the audio. For most of the time the station was on channel 6 the video on their signal had local traffic info with the song artists and titles. Currently the FCC has totally done away with any permits to allow any analog low power TV stations (which Channel 6 here in Chicago was broadcasting as). But MeTV FM has (per the FCC) STA (special temporary authorization) to continue to broadcast on the 87.75 MHz. frequency even though that they are considered a TV stations not a radio station for some reasons. That is because their signal being broadcast at the 87.75 MHz., the frequency for the audio of TV channel 6. So hopefully that explains why I set any of my radios on FM to to in 50 kHz increments when I can.
