In our place v use to get for 10 rs. Use and throw. For other mats I use to soak over night in hot water with detergent and washing soda. Then for washing I just press it well with legs ☺️ done

I soak floor mats and kitchen towels in hot water with washing soda and vinegar and then do a regular machine wash with detergent. Especially for kitchen towels the greasiness and bad odour had reduced greatly with this method. Sun drying is must.

Sis, what I'll do is, I'll never put door mats or rugs in washing machine. Because our daily clothes we put in washing machine will have that smell from the rugs unknowingly. So that's not safe. I'll just put in a pail , hot water bleach liquid and detergent that's all. For me just 2 steps for extremely dirty mats.

In hot boiling water I add washing soda , baking soda , salt , vinegar and liquid soap and mix with a long stick. Then I ll immerse the mats and leave it for half day. Then I ll wash wth hands I think the dirt ll spoil the washing machine, so I wash wth hands.
