Interesting thing is, I think the elite at the end tries to give Makee a reassuring smile, as we have a bunch of sources saying that the sangheili equivalent of a smile is pressing their jaws together tightly, like what he’s doing here. Kinda cool

@EmonWBKstudios Yeah, I remember the Covenant smiling at kids a lot in the books. Instead of just killing them and then glassing the planet. In Halo the Flood, an Elite takes an Ensign from the Pillar of Autumn prisoner, and she leads it to Captain Keyes and the other deck officers and what does the Elite do like 5 seconds after she points out who Keyes is? Kills her and all the other humans that aren't Keyes.

even works for what this show is doing, where "reclaimers" are not humans in general, but a few special chosen humans. neat consistency between the two takes on the same concept. the show's not great most of the time, but its little things like this that keep me coming back

The Prophets know this and they also know that if the rest of the Covenant discovered that their Gods are still alive they wouldn’t bow to the Prophets. The Prophets sentenced humanity to death because it threatened their control over the Covenant and the religion.

The Covenant have used humans to activate Forerunners artifacts for a long time, always in secret, we’ve known this and have seen it for ourselves in Halo 3. Makee isn’t the first, and she probably isn’t the last. You’re getting mad at a literal nothing burger, this mysterious boogy man that vexes you doesn’t exist. There was NO meaning to the Human Covenant War. It was literally a huge lie made by the Prophets to keep their religion in check this is 343 AND Bungie lore. Makee being used by the Covenant changes absolutely nothing, because she isn’t the first human to work with the Covenant, she’s just the first one we’ve seen on screen. You can’t take meaning out of something with no meaning, you’re just looking for a reason to hate on the show, and you chose the dumbest fucking thing to hate on. How about the fact that Master Chief falls in love with Makee, thats dumb, Spartans have repressed hormones so that DOESN’T happen. How about the fact that we see MC’s face the entire show, or that in the final fight his AR has infinite ammo. There’s other things like production value and other lore accuracy to criticize but THIS is what set you off?

It’s the Jackals, Grunts and Brutes you gotta worry about, they just see a snack.

Probably just something akin to Mjolnir. The Mark VI was superior to most Covenant armors, due to the modular nature, ability enhancing, and the ability to carry an AI.

Throughout the human covenant war the Sangheili often wondered why humanity wasn't yet offered a position within the covenant and were rather exterminated without question. I believe many Elites actually respected and wished for humanity to be added to the covenant and did not agree with their indiscriminate extermination.

This might sound stupid, but if these two are Artifact Hunters then would that mean these guys are Zealots? I mean think about, Dr. Halsey on Halo: Reach said Zealots are deployed to search for artifacts

Yes and no. Most Zealots where artefact hunter bc well... they are religous zealots. But not all artifact hunters where zealots. for example in the comic Halo:legacy of onyx multiple elites got dispachted to secure an artifact from falling into human hands. None of them had the rank of zealot.

There was an old fan fic out there called halo twisted origins or twisted fates, but it was about a girl same age being abducted by elites and welcomed into the covenant. I saw this and thats exactly what popped into my mind

I read the same story too!!! Especially the girl's name while I forgot it, I still little bit remember it has a meaning that involves something like "-of Sacred Lands". Of course, I've read another story where it also had a human girl was brought into the Covenant, last I remembered was she's part of the military before being captured by the UNSC.

Even though not a lot of you’ll probably like this and I didn’t watch it by definitely no not a lot of people like it because of the opinions everyone talks about it but at least the models are good like how the elites actually have their mandibles covering their whole mouth which makes sense, considering there’s literally like a giant gaping hole Which makes no sense because teeth need moisture so they actually fix the design by actually making the mandibles covering the whole mouth. Honestly, I gotta say this is honestly a very accurate design.

A Sangheili referring to a Human as "A Creature" is a bit, different, but possibly understandable in the very first years of Contact. I HATE though the Writers changing plot details, like with this Luminary device and what Makee is supposed to be. In the games ALL Humanity are portrayed by the Luminaries as "Reclaimers", but in this show only a very few select Humans have some kind of connection with the Forerunners that makes them special. This is why in the games and books the Covenant attacked Harvest to begin with. A Luminary showed the Prophets that Harvest was covered in "Forerunner Relics", when really it was showing the planet covered in Reclaimers.

I think this could have worked if the prophets had to lie about her being a blessed one. All humans can still use forerunner relics, but to placate the elites and keep them from looking into the genocide, they say this one is special. They’d probably save time trying to fire the rings that way.
