My grandmother use to have a Eureka Whirlwind Lightspeed that look like that. It was ok for a paper pleated bagless unit tho maintenance was FAR from fun and made me wish that I could've gotten a bagged version. I stand by that fact that bagged is better.

The thing that I hate is why they fold up the cords in the box. When you take cords out it’s hard to straighten it out

I have this vacuum at work. For a store with two carpeted exam rooms it’s only ok. I rarely have time to maintain it, I empty it and bang the filter off occasionally. I don’t have a leaf blower at work unfortunately lol! Honestly the only advantage I can see in buying this over going to Walmart and getting something cheap is the sealed hepa system and the cord length maybe. They’re really not worth what they sell for.

I’ve had a couple of the contour machines. They’re ok. I wasn’t all that impressed. I think I’ve mentioned we have a couple of these at my work place but to my knowledge the selection of machines from GSA vendors and distributors are fairly limited.

Considering buying a used SC5845 and SC5815 to replace my ailing Koblenz Endurance U-800s, I've worked on the SC5700/SC5800 series machines many times and very much prefer them over the BGU1415T and BGU1937T as well as the SL4110A and SL4410A which I can find similarly priced on the used market. I don't have a whole lot of money to spend on 2 machines due to renovations and don't feel like throwing more parts at the U-800s than I already have and the return on investment isn't there with these machines as they are very needy as far as repairs, seems like every time I use either something comes loose or falls off, most recently being the small wheels built into the bottom plate on the more used one and the belt guide plate on the less used one.

This is NOT a commercial vacuum cleaner.Its a bagless HOME unit marked "commercial".Buy the BAGGED REAL commercial Sanitaire uprights instead-this machine will end up in the stores dumpster within a year under typical commercial usage.The pleated filter is something the usual user IS NOT going to clean.A bagless vacuum like this one -the bin should be dompted after EACH use.Do not store dirt in the bin.That will make the vacuum stink and the filter is sure to clog when the vacuum is started for its cleaning session.

I think the pet hair ball that was left behind was not so much that it has side suction but that the belt is on that side so that was probably where the belt is. Also it’s weird, we use a power flite at my work sometimes (it’s a vacuum shop) and it looks like a bagged version of this. It’s identical but I thought Tacony owner power flite? So did they have Bissell/sanitare/Electrolux/eureka/whoever the hell makes all of their stuff make the power flite? Conspiracy theory: all vacuums originate from one head company 🤔😂 that power flite was traded in as a lemon for some reason but it works fine to me. It just hums up and down really bad and raddles the height adjustment if it’s in the upright position. Also the clear piece for clogs breaks off really easy.

i have a eureka maxima very similar basicaly the same and for being primative , its quiet and works .... not great for lots of fine dust obviously but i is very smooth and works surprisingly good

U.S. Steel uses these throughout the factory. It is complete pile of garbage. It will not pick up small peebles or rock salt. The Hoover's we have do a much better job.
