This is my favorite Sanji moment in Whole Cake. All of Bege's schemes, all of Luffy's tenacity, all of Sanji's desperation, all of Chopper and Carrot's resourcefulness, all of Nami's learning about Lola's place in the family and the way Big Mom treats her children, all of Brook and Pedro's resolve, and Jin ei's clutch save... Sanji honestly complimenting his manipulative fiance on something that she believes makes her a monster is ultimately the factor that tips the scales on the entire operation. Nobody planned this. Nobody anticipated this. No one calculated this. It was just honest spontaneous kindness, the exact thing that has been held up as Sanji's most powerful personality trait, that changes everything. SO good.

It's amazing how Sanji and Pudding were born in families who degradated and insulted them, only seeing them as potential assests instead of as a son and a daughter. Pudding is just what happens when a child had to grow under a mother like Big Mom; Sanji was able to escape and be nurtured by a good man who loved him as a father should love a son. The moment she was told something beautiful she immediately broke. I just love how Oda looks at family abuse and family love from so many perspectives in Whole Cake Island, this is such an amazing arc.

11:46 This scene was overlooked in the midst of so much disturbance that the episode had, but by analyzing it for just a while you can realize that it will be one of the most undervalued displays of power, taking into account that he literally dodged a bullet that was planned from the future by someone specialized in that color of haki 🤯 And it is curious that what really saved Sanji first was not his speed of observation, but the kindness that has been highlighted so much in this arc :)

Zoro fans always trying to downplay sanji’s power, i really hate how sanji’s true power is always underestimated and this scene showed that at that time he had the best observation haki in the straw hats and even now only luffy has better observation haki than him in the crew

I'd say he's still stronger because that's how Oda tends to portray them but only slightly, they're definitely more on par with eachother than Zoro is with Luffy

This episode also already shows another weakness of Katakuri's future sigh. He was able to see that Pudding was going to break down, but didn't know why. He can see what is going to happen, but doesn't get the cause. And is not able to see that far ahead, like, he knew Luffy was going to destroy the cake, but right before it was going to happen.

Charlotte Pudding is very tragic. Those small antagonistic comments like “that creeps me out” and “grow your bangs out” are small assurances to break a person’s heart. But truly, what’s tragic is “Didn’t expect that.” after “What if he compliments her?
