Fun fact: All of these episodes detailing the whereabouts of the rest of the Strawhats are technically not part of the Manga story, but actually part of the Cover Stories from manga chapter. The anime adapted the cover stories into more detailed sub plots about the rest of the crew which was really cool. Really helped provide a lot more depth and world building.

I do remember them being on the run from the government, then retaliating when everyone had somewhat recovered from their injuries. Maybe they made some kind of deal after that cause I don't think I ever saw them again til Lucci reappeared in the manga.
