This is actually what is happening right now in the series. Tho I would say that his traits of going after girls and having soft spots for them were taught to him by Zeff (since that time in East Blue during his training to become a chief, Zeff said that ladies should be treated in a gentle way I forgot what episode tho). And his name "Sanji" represents that he is the 3rd son of the Vinsmoke family and they are indeed a royal family of the Germa Kingdom. And your theory about him running away from home was proven a fact. My theorie is that his mom is "Big Mom" one of the four jonkos, and he had to be a cook for her (thats why he learned cooking).We saw big mom always very hungry and maybe she's waiting for her "son/cook to return.To support this theorie, Sanji saw into the book of all devil-fruits and he knew about the invisibillity-fruit he originally wanted to obtain.But where did he find that book ?! We know that only 2 people have seen into this book so far: Sanji and Blackbeard. And i csn say that Sanji might had that book from big mom(or like in this theorie: from a noble family)

But yesterday's chapter (801) clearly shows that Sanji is somehow important to the world governement, so that really adds credibility to this theory. Umm... to be continued! This is an amazing theory. The research is great and I love to agree with you, weren't it for just one point. And this point may be questioned anyway, as Oda-sensei seems to add things to the original storyline. So that point I meant, was, that Sanji wasn't intended to be named Sanji but Naruto. As this was chaged pretty early in the story, Oda might have added such a thing later anyway. That Sanji is blueblooded is more or less confirmed, now the question is, who are his parents? I like the part of a San clan through. Maybe he omitted it futher, and he is the bastard of the third (san) clan that founded the world governmet? I look forward to the arc when this will become valid finally.

+Kisaki Sakura If he's inspired in Genji as Hawkeye says, in Genji monogatari everyone uses a nickname and Genji's name come from both his origin and his apearance. Naruto comes from Sanji's curled eyebrows which referes to his apearance and Sanji would refere to his origin. I don't know is Oda would have to chose between this two names from the begining or found "Sanji"option later but both versions looks possible to me.

I don't know if the pictures of Genji's mother were actual illustrations in the original book, but if they were, then they could be the inspiration for Boa Hancock's appearance. There is a very very strong resemblance especially in the hair style and clothes. And Boa Hancock was a slave on Mariejois as well... Could Sanji be her son? The age gap is not large enough but there could be a different relation like siblings.

If you search around, most folktales from Japan tend to depict similar hair style on the princesses, like Kaguya hime. Other anime also do the same, such as Hinata from Naruto, Nurarihyon's wife from Nurarihyon no Mago, and a lot more. :)

this theory does make alot of sense. But I want to add a Lil more detail. If sanji did live in a castle as a boy that explains why he likes every girl. He probably saw his dad have all the girls he wanted by acting like a crazy love phyco around girls and as the king the girls have to listen to him. So sanji saw his dad doing this to so many girls and he tried it because he wants to get some. Also sanji has never talked about his real parwnts ever. His childhood is only explained as a pirate cutting off his leg to save him thwn starving on a stranded island with a dream to make a restaurant on the sea. after they did that sanji worked on the baratie for a long time. Also I forgot to mention that sanji likes to cooking habit probably came from one of the more hotter people sanji king dad had fun with. That explains why is pervy and why in dressrosa violet said she never has seen someone so perverted in her life while using her powers to look into his mind

Sanji with a black flame like amaterasu is better. If sanji gets angry his fire goes crazy and it is said that his fire depends on his passion. If he gets so emotional i think he can unlock a hotter fire than he already has right now and blue flame is marcos trade mark so its impossible so it is much better to assume that sanji can unlock black flame. Bec it is his trade mark. Black suit. Raid suit. Stealth black and black leg sanji.

But I think Big Mom was the queen of a kingdom and leaved this island. And it gets even better, I believe Sanji is also the son of a Gorosai. You know, which one. But the Queen was protecting Sanji, always. But someday Sanji can't stand it anymore. He came to the conclusion that he is the reason that his mom was suffering and runaway is the best way for a weak child to protect his beloved mom for more harm. To leave this Island, sanji searched for a job on a ship... Sanjis mom gets insane after she lost her beloved son and the last memorie of Goro. She decided to become a pirate, no she decided to become Yonko in hope to find her son. But these of searching she lost her hope, more and more. Instead she gets courupted by her life style and the power of her devil fruit...
