I’m the fan thats been saying Andre James is trash and we seen his UDFA ceiling 3 seasons ago, Raiders need to lose that dude asap and stop falling in love with or waiting for a late round or even a UDFA that wasn’t even on NfL team’s radar during the draft. Be happy with finding dudes like Hobbs and Crosby later in the draft. But waiting for less that impactful players to find a groove is wishful thinking. Draft Draft and draft again. This team needs competent bodies and coaches. RN4L

We finally had a good draft, now let’s go get another line man & our QB (SANDERS) in next year’s draft
@ikiruyamamoto105014 күн бұрын
Thanks for the great analysis video...that's quality content! With the season going down the tubes, the only interesting things are if our young talent are going to learn, and turn into good starters. I would say is that we need a lot of new quality beef on the OL, and that's going to take a couple of drafts. Unfortunately, by the time that happens, our best OL (Miller) will "aging out" (shoulder injuries are already sapping him). The real problem is Mr. Bowl Cut let the players pressure him into a rookie coach, and then failed miserably by getting cheap on Kingsbury and letting him go to Washington. So everyone in the AFC West is getting better faster than the Raiders who have a coach who is by far the worst coach in the division (to be fair, the division probably has the best collection of coaches). Losing...."The Raider Way."

I agree with this. I would like to see a line of Miller - Munford - JPJ - Parham / Meredith - Glaze. I know Sanjit has not been the biggest fan of Munford but to me the guy does everything pretty well except his slow feet in his kick slide, I think if you move him to the inside you fix (or at least help with) a lot of his problems, the rookies have been impressive and will only get better. Miller has had a rough season but we think this is injury related so should get back to form next year (hopefully) - and at this point who else would you play at LT?

AP does not look afraid to lose his job, Getsy was the last OC choice (perfect scapegoat), & they picked up a career backup QB in the offseason. I love this video, Sanjit. I have the same view, but I thought they would keep him at LG to counter guys like Chris Jones. I was looking for a new OC in the next draft, but I'm perfectly fine with JPJ at OC and drafting a stud to replace him at LG. There are a lot of really solid O linemen in the draft from powerhouse schools who have lots of playing time and chances to play against top competition. Evaluation will be big this off season because we MUST get better on the OL because we are drafting our franchise QB.

There's no doubt the Raiders offense is top priority for the upcoming draft with QB as the utmost highest priority, then Oline second. RB probably 3rd and possibly a wide receiver in trade/FA after that.

Love the analysis and film breakdown. James seems more like a scheme type of player whereas JPJ is a plug and play in any type of offense they want to run. James needs to go to a team that uses zone blocking. He sucks at the power scheme the Raiders seem to want to run. At least we can say Telesco hit on last years draft and pray he does it again this year
@rhodalphssanitorium501014 күн бұрын
Well, we would have had a tackle, if Bowers wasn't available. The James signing, surely, was based on a draft chart. No? Crazy that JPJ dropped. Really hoping the Raiders heed your advise about the kid finally. It is a better offense without our friend Andre. Well done and thank you. I am massively impressed, after viewing this video.

Opposing D-lines have been eating James' lunch, so why wait any longer to make this move? We gave him a big contract last year and he's badly underperforming. Put JPJ back in the position where he was so highly rated in college. It's a no-brainer, and we've GOT to figure out the O-line or nothing is ever going to work on offense.

My high school team freshman-junior years you’d be lucky to make it back to the LOS before getting hit by a defender. Senior year I switched schools and I could literally gain 5 yards before getting touched.. to say it makes a big difference is an understatement. With that blocking I scored a TD almost every time I got the ball. Any kid on the team could have gained yards the blocking was so good.

Hopefully we can foist Andre James on some team and get a late round draft pick. I've been saying for three years James is terrible. Great news that we finally have a center. Guards are a lot easier to find on day three of the draft. JPJ at center will allow the QB to have a clean pocket, something a Raider QB has not seen in years.
@RaiderTiahui1314 күн бұрын
Seems like James, a John Gruden guy, and Munford, a JMD guy, have been replaced as our starters in one year with AP and Tommy T. To have our OL, at key positions, with extra young talent is huge for our future on the OL!!! HUGE!!! It took this regime one off-season, with really no time to prep, to fill in major holes on our OL... Great job to AP and Tommy T for finding "their" players...

Once Parham is fully recovered he can take LG or go back to RG while Meredith goes to the other spot, then the 5 guys up front are set for the team. Just wish Kolton was in better shape, seems like every week the injury report has Kolton showing up so he's never at 100%, let alone 70% imo.

Which position do you think is better for slightly less likelihood of concussion risk? You pointed out the center not being covered up by a defensive lineman on all those pass protection plays. I always feel like the centers get killed on the running plays and especially short yardage. I always think of the damage that Mike Webster took back in the day (and other centers). That is my main worry and feel that this could be a partial story from back in the preseason with JPJ's mystery injury status. Your opinion and info sharing is appreciated!

If our Raider dumb offensive coaches can't in person and film evaluate the best talent we have and put them in the proper place at least you will show the film to the fans where we will ALL know where the blame is and where the answer is when it comes to this offensive line! Win JPJ moved to center it's like he went back to work in college at the NFL level easy work! It was VERY plain to see he is better then James like night and day a whole rookie fresh outta college making James look like Homer Simpson. We have 2 offensive line coaches one a former HC and you telling me none of them REALIZE this after watching film and are trying different things at practice. We literally can pick off somebody else's practice squad for a guard and come up better than Whitehair. Whitehair and James have absolutely no leg strength no anchor whatsoever. James does need to be let go or sit it out, he's been generally subpar the entire season. Whitehair is also dreadful and there's no doubt in my mind once a suitable LG is found whether in Meredith, Parham, or even Munford (when he's not moonlighting as a WR) then Whitehair will be cut from the team after this season. Speaking on Munford, I wonder what he'll do next, will be end up becoming a rotational piece? Or will he be the emergency LT if Miller gets sidelined with a bad enough injury. We know he's not going back to RT now that Glaze earned that position.

If you guys remember my first comment after the draft, JPJ’s future is at C. It’s because I believe he can be an elite G, but would be a HOF C. I think he has higher ceiling over Humphrey.because of quickness and lower center of gravity the way he can keep his butt down

JPJ has that mindset, that if he could play every position at once he would and do it well! He is a generational talent. He can anchor down and toss people without trying 😂. Love this pickup. If only we had one more dawg on offensive line...
