10/10 for that film Ian!!! Loved watching this and seeing that beautiful place from another route brings back great memories. Glad you made the ferry on time and that wee pint was well deserved! Looking forward to seeing more great uploads, All the best. peter.

Been up by two different routes but not this one, certainly going to try this one out. Fantastic

Well worth the effort. I am not an exposure junkie so route was fine. One part was a little on the edge for about half a dozen yards but if you wanted you could stick to the rock in the centre and walk or scramble along it. Even the slightly exposed route wasnt too bad

@@ferguson1518 yep, not a big fan of over exposure, last climb was by corrie route and turned right down towards your start, looks an interesting way, maybe later this summer. Will post note if i get it done.

@@ferguson1518 a year on from my last jaunt here and you couldn't believe how the world has changed, ferry issues have curtailed opportunities to get to Arran this year. Still hopeful of a hike up Goatfell before Autumn ends.

great vid, this helped me so much to get into the devils pulpit to fly my fpv racing drone, hopefully next year i'll get up on the ridge, if my fearof heights doesnt get the better of me. o you know if its possible to do the ridge in the other direction? the beginning looks like a one way thing, ie too hard to shuffle down?

I don’t think there would be too be too much of a problem, even going over the little peaks. Although coming down you probably will have a greater sense of exposure, the parts where you actually nearer the edge of a large drop, ie on top of the middle one are actually real actively flat. There really was only one significant part where you would have to shuffle down or come down backwards. That’s the bit where I started going straight up toward the first little peak. No exposure at that bit just what would be an awkward couple of say 4-5 foot drops.

@@ferguson1518 thanks, that helps, two things i'm worried about are when i was flying it this year i had to check there was nobody on the ridge, in fact i never actually flew it the way i wanted, i was forced to just check it over and over, video image while flying is like old tv signal. my other worry is losing my nerve and having to go back the way i came, the first part looks so one way. i just got a gopro and i'm hoping to get back over to arran as soon as possible, thanks again for posting.

@@TheMadmacs Love to get back over to Arran as well. WE are only 20 minutes from Ardrossan, so as soon as we are allowed I will be getting the first morning ferry over and heading for the hills
