You are so right about the Sanpera's noisiest 'clickety-click' sound I've heard for stompbox switches! C'mon Peavey, let's get smart about this! This the 3rd Sanpera video I watched recently, and I thought to myself 'are those buttons noisy/metallic/clacky? nahhh, can't be that loud - what if you're in church or small acoustic venue?' As you said, you become a loud 'percussion' instrument when stepping on these buttons! And they're asking $140 used! I appreciate your time taken to methodically test & analyze the switches functionality, parameters, shortcomings, etc. Good job here!

It is a very confusing system. I first bought the 20w. Had no idea i needed a pedal. But enjoyed the tinkering to get different sounds. Then recently I found a 30w in a pawn shop. I bought it has more to tinker with. Then I found out about Sanpera pedal in which I purchased recently through Amazon. And now it's even more tinkering. Seems like I spend more time trying to figure it out. By the time I do I'm ready to take a break👍🤣 Great Video Ty!

Hi, I use Behringer FCB1010 as a pedal with this amp. I had to create a custom MIDI cable (8 pin Sanpera to 5 pin MIDI) to do it but it works great and much more flexible for configuring.

I think you could probably switch out those switches with a quieter kind. Just match contact connections using a meter. Will need to solder connections. Make sure they are the same type of switch. Had the back of my pedal off but don't remember how many wires went to the switches. Might help to mount the pedal on rubber to dampen the clicks also.

Thank you, you've done a great job. So by the look of it, it doesn't work like a norma looper pedal where you can loop something and tweak the settings/presets to find your sound. Am I correcT?

Did you try it live? Can it keep up volume wise in a band.
@stephencraig85785 жыл бұрын
I noticed that you had to adjust the voulme.The looper volume is louder than the guitar after you come out of looper mode.Have you figured a way to keep the volume even?You covered some good points in the video,thx for taking the time .

you have to record the loop with the volume pedal @ a lower volume then when you play over the loop raise the volume with the foot pedal.I know answering my own question.

I'm not sure as I've only ordered the Sanpera one. I haven't actually got it yet. But my guess is the reason it records after you release the button is to allow your foot to be free in case you want to use the big pedal to add wah tremolo or volume in the loop that you are recording. I do agree that the clicking noise is ridiculously loud. Have you tried WD-40 or some other lubricant?

i love my all my peavey amps especialy my 30 watt peavey vypyr 30 watt head its awesome and for 30 watts its very lound on a 4x12 cab
@strawbridgefields6 жыл бұрын
I didn't try WD40, but I doubt if that will help with the click sound. I returned my SP1 because of the problems noted in the video. As for looping, I have the Roland RC-30 which works very well.

peavey has the best clean sounds on any of there amps also the 60 watt ultra peavey head has phenomonal cleans not bad sounding leads but i thank the delta blues amps and there tweed amps are especially nice peavey has fender beat hands down i dont care how long fender has been around put it next to a peavey or a marshall against a peavey the peavey will always win. yes im a peavey fan boy but i thank there amps are the shit they cant be beat for the money tone quality and there amps are built like tanks

Do you have to hold B and D down for a certain amount of time? I tried it and it won’t let me change amp models on the acoustic or bass still
@tomy.18466 жыл бұрын
Maybe you have to keep a guitar cable plugged in while holding B and D? Or try without a cable plugged in. I remember seeing that stressed in a different video. Very tricky amp!

How about the Stompbox and delay on and off controls under bank 1 and 2 buttons on the pedal? Can you use that somehow to put it in between Bypass mode and a selected stompbox setting?
@ricklavigne44666 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking the switches are loud because they used heavy duty switches that can take alot of abuse and therefore the unfortunate loud clicking. It would have been nice if they used temporary switches therefore no noise. Yes they should have put the vol. peddle about an inch farther away from the switches. I find myself hitting it also.
