Used to go to the boardwalk to eat cotton candy and ride tge wooden rollercoaster and see the seals at Natural bridges park. Heard the arch had collapsed. Life will never be the same as small kid time

Santa Cruz was a very awesome place in the 60s with the cooper house downtown, and the catalyst where I met John Lennon, that nite Frank Moreno was playing. also went to school at Harbor High class of 70' Surfed for 15 years up and down coast. Use to leave at 4:00 am in the morning with 2 friends and hit the Lane or go up to Stockton ave Great tubes there and eat screaming yellow zonkers for breakfast.. LOL. Then when the surf was down we would go up Hwy 9 to roach rock on the river back a ways from the road it was a skinny dipping hole and great tanning place. and of course a great place for stoners. Then in Felton there is Roaring Camp another awesome place to visit ! Then Late at night there was odd fellows cemetery and the Legend of the White Lady by mt herman road. It's treally sad to see how all that area is so developed with houses. Way over crowded.. It was a Great place to grow up back then, Now it;s just to many people.. Thanks for the video it brought up good memories even though many of the rides are new and many of the good old rides and attractions are gone... Oh almost forgot. The prices have gone waaaayyy up on everything. Oh Also the people standing on the cliff by the river well the other side of that beach use to be a Castle, It was called Castle beach, but it burned down back then in the 60's ...

Not all of the rides are open, but as long as Ghost Blasters, Cave Train Adventure, Haunted Castle, and Undertow are all open I’m happy.

Stumbled upon your KZbin Channel today and started off with Six Flags Discovery Kingdom then California's Great America and now Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Really awesome channel and awesome reviews coming from someone who lives not too far from the Boardwalk or Great America lol. Hoping to go to Six Flags in 2 weeks for the 1st time. The Haunted Castle ride is so cool!!! One of the best dark rides I’ve ever been on! It’s not scary though so don’t expect it to be scary. It’s like the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland (if you’ve ever been there)

BEST DRIVING DIRECTIONS...... Take Soquel Dr. turnoff from HWY 1, TURN RIGHT[north] then turn Left on 7th Ave, turn right again on East Cliff Dr... follow the road around the San Lorenzo River and your there.. AVOIDS Ocean Street nightmare.. This is also a great way to Pleasure Point , Yacht Harbor , Twin Lakes Beach and to Capitola.. 7th ave. also helps avoid 41st. ave...

I hate that he called the pirate ship wimpy. It actually goes very high and is a great ride for older kids who are still to afraid to go on bigger rides and is great for adults to!
