Santa Cruz Heckler SL - Is it the hottest bike Santa Cruz makes? First look and test ride

The ‪@santacruzbicycles2841‬ Heckler SL is essentially a mid-powered e-bike version of the acclaimed Bronson, MX wheels and all. It's powered by a Fazua Ride 60 motor and 430Wh internal battery and it is probably the hottest bike Santa Cruz currently makes. So hot, in fact, we still haven't been able to get our hands on one for a full review.
So when we found out that The Ace Bicycles Forge in Gomshall had a demo bike in our size we jumped at the chance to ride it.
The model we rode was the Santa Cruz Heckler SL S Carbon C.

Totally agree with your sentiment, I sold my SB130LR and bought a 2024 Orbea Rise H10 with the 540 battery. First ride had a smile as soon as I hit the climbs. I’m also time poor and can now get in extra kms and elevation per ride.

Love how these look! But the devaluation on e-bikes is insane. The SLs are even harder to sell. I’d encourage anyone purchasing a SL to be sure you’re going to keep it as they don’t hold their money at all.

i just demoed this and the levo sl 2 this past weekend up at china camp park. on the levo, it felt like an extension of my body. the heckler seemed more in its element in the chunkiest stuff but felt surprisingly dull on most rides. also tried a shuttle sl which was right in between.

@jevgeniardassov yeah mine was the cc carbon 12k one and I put a dhx2 fox 38, onyx classic hubs, maven brakes and rotors, 155mm forx cranks, etc... she's a beauty though!
