Garen is a true professional, he even matches his coffee to his tan! Come to think of it, a latte coloured frame would look awesome! I’d love a new HT but until I win the lottery or manage to sell a kidney, I’ll keep my HT LT V1 and keep appreciating Garen’s presentations 🤘❤️🌈🕊️🌎

Yes, the Carbon C version with routing for a cabled derailleur is available as a frame-only option 👍

Only because most people looking at the Hightower tend to be 29er fans, and the 5010 is MX. If you want something that is a step down in travel, and is MX, the 5010 is a great option.

I have the hightower from 2 versions ago and I love it, but it's not quite enough for when I go downhilling. Should I buy a V10? The only thing I'm worried about is that it will feel like a truck compared to my little hightower.

If you are into the Hightower but want more travel and versatility for those big mountain days, you may want to check out the Megatower. The V10 is a purpose-built DH bike.

Both do use the new suspension layout and updated VPP kinematics and now have the same suspension travel. The choice for MX or full 29" is yours!

The CC frames have always been about reducing weight while keeping strength and stiffness the same. With most of the high-end kits being wireless, a major opportunity to reduce weight comes from eliminating the unused internal carbon tunnels previously needed for the der cables. If you prefer cabled options, the C models have the carbon cable tunnels for cable derailleur compatibility but do come with the associated added weight. Both versions are also available as a frame-only option, so the choice is yours.

This obsession with longer slacker bikes has got to end at some point. There is more to riding than straight line downhills. These used to be light nimble well handling bikes. Longer is not always better .
