Great review as always Guy, always been interested how you can tell the difference between flexes in different places on the bike you describe flex in the burgtec stem is it just years of experience and your riding a bike and you just know that flex is from the frame wheels fork bars stem pivot points etc it’s incredible you can identify it from a specific point on the bike kudos 👍

That sort of detail generally comes from comparative grouptests where I’ll do specific twist or flex tests etc. where applicable but there are some components where you can really feel a difference on the trail anyway. The experience is as much about learning the different elements/components that make up the overall bike algorithm. That’s what helps you pinpoint what part of the bike creates which part of its character. As a general rule stems that are cold forged then not machined much are stiffer than near shape forged and then machined stems and a lot stiffer than stems cut from raw billet. Handlebars can make a real difference to front end feel too. Remember spending several hours swapping wheels, tyres, same type forks, stem, grips etc. between a Whyte hardtail and a Sonder trying to work out why one of them felt much harsher over a test section of roots and rocks. Turned out it was almost entirely down to the bars.

Where’s the integrated Fox front mudguard? Much prefer the fox like I have on my Nomad rather than trying to secure generic types with zip ties and bits of string

I always use a Crud XL to stop the spray getting on the lens. Not as neat but a lot less frustrating than footage i can’t use

It’s me, I’m OCD about aesthetics lol.

And another thing Guy, I don’t like it when reviewers have the water bottle mounted in the frame in a shot as it prevents my OCD assessing the aesthetics of the frame

@@rickmoz SB150 is a beast. Took me a good month to get into that. It was too much of a racer to be arsed with a chump like me until I just pulled my big big boy pants on and straight lined everything. Then it was a total PR harvester 🤣

@@GuyKesTV I’m 12mm shorter than you. My ape index is greater than my height. I think a large will be good fit with a 170mm dropper.
