My grandfather was born in Italy and left for the United States when he was 20-30. He settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, married my Grandmother, who was from Germany. He's been dead for 20 years, died at the age of 101. I never discussed his hometown or what he did as a child. He was a tailor in San Francisco his entire life. Made the finest suits from the best materials. He called his 1954 Chrysler Imperial "the machine".

My grandfather was born in Mantua. He came to Brazil at the beginning of the last century. He was a tailor in the small town of Itu where he married my grandmother Wilhelmina. I remember Itu when I hear this beautiful song.
