Santa Mesa Station Update

Santa Mesa station will be reconstructed as part of the North-South Commuter Railway. The two side platforms at the new station building's fifth level will be the highest in the world from ground level at 29.9 m (98 ft), exceeding Smith-Ninth Streets station's 26.7 m (88 ft)
Santa Mesa was opened on December 22, 1905 as a station originally situated on the Antipolo and Montalban lines. From this station, the Main Line South, as well as its subsequent branch lines which were later abandoned (Naic and Carmona, Cavite; Batangas; Bay, Santa Cruz and Pagsanjan, Laguna; Canlubang, Laguna), branched out southwest from the line heading east southeast to Antipolo and Montalban. Main Line South was constructed not long afterward and was the first railway line of Manila Railroad Company (MRR, later PNR) crossing the Pasig River, with Pandacan and all the oil refineries and other branch lines, including one right to the former site of Philippine Vegetable Oil Company in Santa Mesa, being constructed right after the Pasig River bridge.

Wow! Very nice update po ito! Ang galing...saludo po ako sa inyo. Thankful sa progress ng NSCR...at least ang pre-construction activities ay unti-unti nang sinisimulan. Once matapos na yung last leg ng NLEX-SLEX Connector Road hanggang sa Skyway Stage 3, for sure, clear na ang area na ito para sa full blast ng construction activities! Marami po talaga tayong pwedeng ipagpasalamat bilang Pilipino! Thank you at excited na rin po ako sa mga susunod pa ninyong vlog updates. Ingat po and salamat ng marami sa beautifully done videos!

2022 update pa ito. sa panahon na di pa ginigiba ung magsaysay flyover (dahil sa historical value) kaya ung option noon ng NSCR at nlex connector road ay dadaan sa ibabaw ng LRT2 kaya din sobrang taas ng sta mesa station sa plano. Pero may nabalitaan ako na since dinaan sa ilalim ung NLEX connector, isasabay na rin ung NSCR. at ililipat ung location ng stamesa station doon sa kabilang side ng magsaysay blvd. sa (paltok street) para mapalapit sa LRT2 pureza station.

filling ko lang ha hindi nayan ililipat kasi ang goal ng station ay ilapit sa PUP hindi sa lrt 2 pureza saka my napanood ako isang vlog yung jica study na my pinag pipilian kung sa taas or ibabaw o underground idadaan ang nscr pero walang station choices. kung my mababago man yung design station building lang ang babaguhin

@@fameu1007 iniba nga nila pati ung station design ng jica nung inaward nila itong contract package sa acciona dmci. noong 2023 kasabay sa presentation din ng walkthrouh ung paglipat ng espana station sa florentino st. pati ung sta mesa station. pero ngayon parang inuulit nila ung mga detailed study nila pati soil testing kaya pwede parin magbago ulit.
