Thank you for this. I was Father Christmas' attendant once about a year ago. After about seven sets I can recite almost that whole interaction. Didn't think I'd miss it this much.

Wow , seeing the Norway show struck a chord in me. Brought me back to being a child and getting pulled up to dance with them so many years ago . Funny what we suppress in our memories. Guess that’s just the magic of Disney and the magic of Christmas

Inspired by yesterday's vlog I made gingerbread with my dad this evening. You have to leave it overnight to mature. I got the recipe from my sister in law who's Finnish and has been making piparkakku (gingerbread) since she was little. Since she met my brother we've had a bit of Finnish in our English Christmas, Finglish perhaps, cos the Finns know how to Christmas!

That's what I love about Epcot, the educational aspect of it. It's also what makes me sad when that's overlooked in favor of character branded attractions. Thank you for sharing, Tim.

Being from the UK, I liked the Father Christmas story, but I think it would be fun if they did a mini pantomime! I don’t think pantomime happens in other countries & its a fun tradition, especially for kids, they could explain it as they went along, would love to hear everyone shouting “HES BEHIND YOU”
@ladyk37296 жыл бұрын
Claire Hill it’s just not Christmas in the UK without a bit of panto! Oh no it isn’t! Sorry, couldn’t resist! 😁🎄❤️

A few years ago was the first time I got to do Epcot around the world, I enjoy going there. It reminds me of Christmas Traditions up in St Charles, MO as for the various Santas Not exactly, because the ones at Epcot are more animated as personality.

Tim, you have to check out the "Voices of Liberty" holiday show inside the american pavilion building. Check daily schedule. They sing holiday songs acapella underneath that beautiful dome of the structure. Im sure others would love for you to preview this show for them. It is an annual must see for us, the crowd always goes crazy for the incredible voices on display all dressed in victorian holiday garb. Truly a sight to behold. We always watch the voices of liberty before seeing the processional.

Some folks are so slow that they can't grasp the idea of what was presented describing the cultural differences in Christmas, they are presenting the shows in a historical setting and some of the practices that were once common may not be so now. Especially now that the world is more accessible and cultures meld and old customs fall away. It's not about the present day but about the past!
