Got a Black Magic Woman
Got a Black Magic Woman
I've got a Black Magic Woman
Got me so blind, I can't see
That she's a Black Magic Woman
She's trying to make a Devil outta me

My Dad passed away on Wednesday February 1, 2023. He was a huge Santana fan. He had amazing taste in music. From a very young age, I can remember waking up to him playing this song from his bedroom, and then as I got ready for school. I will miss you SO MUCH Pop. My heart is broken. I miss my morning phone call from you...especially your "My son!" after I said hello. You're no longer in pain or suffering. I love you Papasito. ❤️

@@davidpike1487 THE Peter Green. A B.B. King inspired, UK 60s Blues Rock guitarist, and singer. Not really the best singer, but it is what it is. CLEAN playing, strong tone, distinct, no "dad rock" bullshit here. He was one step away from exactly how Jimi Hendrix progressed, but went the opposite...took LSD and went off the deep end. Both played tons of Blues Rock, although Jimi was living and playing in the real US Blues scene, and people like Green were very detached from it and going off of records/local clubs.

In 1970 I was assigned to a Destroyer out of Pearl Harbor and for whatever reason this album and especially this song were among the favorites of just about everyone in the crew. I even had this album at one time and after stopping in Yokosuka where everyone left with great stereo systems and speakers we wore this album out. On our way to the Gulf of Tonkin.
