It had been raining for weeks in the southern California, Baja California area. And, I shit you not, probably one of the most spiritual instances I’ve ever experienced in my life, as soon as the Santana band came out, the clouds parted, the sun appeared and Carlos and company, including his brother Jorge, his father, and many other family members spanning several generations treated the crowd to, in my opinion, a show where Carlos and crew poured 100% of their hearts and souls into their performance!!! It was an emotional homecoming for Carlos playing in Tijuana, where he grew up. For me, being agnostic or atheist in my theological beliefs, this was the closest to a God or a higher spiritual entity, than I’ve ever felt!

This was an unbelievably incredible performance. I arrived into Mexico armed with 30 fat joints of the K.G.B & my partner was similarly armed. Took positions 3rd row from the top of the bullring & we tried to get all of Mexico stoned. We would have succeeded had we not been so blown away by the music. Top 5 of best concerts ever! Thank you Carlos Santana. I love and respect you for all the sacrifices you made while learning your skills. Peace and Love

i remember listening to an edited radio concert, moons ago, it was terrific, all 45 minutes of it, then only to find out, moons later, this gem existed...i cannot thank you enough...the best years of Carlos Santana and Band, before he sold out commercially...

Walfredo Reyes Jr. ya, incredible. He was there with no timbale player at one point so he did that too! Included them in his drum solo also. His father was a professional drummer too. I loved him with Santana. He played with Steve Winwood. Went on to Chicago for a long time. But here was his element!

I first saw Santana at a Day on the Green at the Oakland stadium, 1976. The last time I saw them was at Festival On the Green 💚 at San Francisco's stadium, 2016. With many, many times in between! My DNA and cells are filled with this musical 🎶 energy, light ✨️ and joy. 🎉 The Old Waldorf, S.F. The Warfield Theater, S.F. The Concord Pavillion (× 10!) The Shoreline Amphitheater Paramount Theater, Oakland U.C. Berkeley Hall, just Carlos and Chester Thompson on keyboard I once saw Carlos at the small Sweetwater Bar in Mill Valley, Marin. Supporting John Lee Hooker! It was amazing 👏 Thank you Carlos and various Santana bands for a lifetime of healing, inspiring musica. 🎶 🎸 I was 19 in 1976, 59 in 2016 (!) (When are you in town next Carlos?)

ON-LINE RESEARCH RESULTS: 2 CONCERTS WERE PERFORMED BY SANTANA IN 1992 IN TIJUANA: MARCH 20, 1992 12 AM PT Santana, Pato Banton, and Jose Santana will perform Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Bullring by the Sea, Tijuana. Tickets are priced at $10 (shade), $15 (sun) and $20 (reserved), and can be purchased in advance at all TicketMaster outlets in the San Diego area (call 278-TIXS to charge). In Baja California, tickets can be purchased at the LF Racebooks in Tijuana, Ensenada, and Mexicali, and at Too Much Fun Promotions in Rosarito. To get to the bullring, cross the border, take the Ensenada- Rosarito toll road south for about 6 miles to the Las Playas exit, which takes you to the bullring (you can see the bullring from the exit). Gates open at 1 p.m. both days, and, because the shows are expected to last until about 8:30 p.m., concert goers are advised to bring warm clothing. There is limited parking at the bullring, but park-and-ride shuttles to the bullring can be taken each day for a nominal fee. puedo decir que increiblemente yo estube en ese concierto a mis 17 años fui de aqui de mexicali. se llamaba llueva o truene , recuerdo que abrio el concierto un grupo de reggae y los gabachos que estabna en el publico comenzaron a fumar marihuana casi al mismo tiempo y los polcias no comprendian los usos y costumbres de los gringoslos polis se volvieron violentos quisieron arrestar a uno por estar fumando el vocalista paro el concierto hasta que soltaran al muchacho y todo el publico gritaba fuera fuera al policia este prudentemento mejor lo solto y los compañeros sacaron al policia por seguridad ...fueron dos conciertos yo fui el segundo dia
