„Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not truth. Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love. Love is not music. MUSIC IS THE BEST!"

I saw Santana at 'Rock am See' in Konstanz a month after this, greatest rhythm section in the history of music and will never forget that rendition of 'Cavatina'! In this recording there is an instrumental version of 'The Healer', which was not released on album until 1989. I had no idea that this track existed before 1989 and have not turned up any relevant information on the net. Can anyone tell me the history of this wonderful track? I have found a fantastic 1989 instrumental version on KZbin (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4WzgGSDgM2EZ5Y), but that's all.

Buddy Miles was a huge downgraded from Greg Walker in the years prior. This was the last tour with Graham Lear on drums, the Santana band has never been as good since he was in it.
@jesusrivera7436 ай бұрын
@greatunz67 It’s all a matter of style Some songs fit Greg others Buddy or Alex all dynamic vocalists ….One thing for sure Carlos knows how to pick his personnel without the band, missing a beat pretty incredible. It’s all about Carlos‘s vision and the direction he wants the band to go in. Amazing….RIP Buddy.

Graham Lear the great Arguably the best drummer Santana ever had .Michael Shreive I feel was more versatile .Ndugu Chandler was special for the short time he was with the band . Check him and master petcusionist Armando Peraza bongos out on the Amigos album. Definitely the best rhythm section in the world at the time.RIP Armando
