Excellent video Dave ! We just booked the Honeymoon Petra Villas hotel yesterday, for 5 nights in Imerovigil, our 1st time in Santorini, and then going to Mykonos and staying at the Grecotel Blu for 5 nights. Our anniversary destinations in September! Taking a Transatlantic cruise from Florida to Barcelona before flying to Santorini! 🥂👍

Thanks for sharing Dave. I really enjoyed my time in Santorini in August even though it was hot. What cracked me up were all those instagrammers with their "glamm" while sweating a storm instead of wearing something comfortable. I also found that whole dress thing outrageous. They charged a fortune for anyone that wanted that but then again to each their own!

we just did the hike on Wednesday! it was fabulous! our hotel apartment was actually under the trail... a little north of Imerovigli.

Some more signage would be good. Oia to Fira made a wrong turn after the snack shack and ended up on the side of a very unstable cliff. We climbed upwards and scaled a stone wall emerging on the C-Sky hotel pool deck. The guests thought we had lost our minds...Great hike. Great memories!

Just wondering if there are public bathroom stops on this trail. Just wondering in case of emergencies lol.

Not really. The church north of Imerovigli has some basic bathrooms but they can be locked. Mainly it's cafes and restaurants, and the snack bar south of Oia.

we were just there a couple weeks ago and we couldn’t believe all the poop and toilet paper at four minutes in. Why doesn’t the city government of Santorini call a stop to that? all it would take is one person to patrol it and all the tourists of the entire world wouldn’t have to experience that crap.
