I’ve been publishing a series about Nariño (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nariño_...) and its main tourist destinations. I want to show you this department in which international tourism is minimal today, but which is beautiful and has many things to do.
Nariño is one of the 32 departments of Colombia and is located in the southwest of the country. Nariño is the only department that shares the Pacific Ocean (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific..., the Amazon jungle (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_...) and part of the Andes Mountains (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andes) in its territory. In Nariño you find beach, mountains, canyons, volcanoes, lagoons and more.
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Las Lajas (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Laj...) is a basilica located in Ipiales Nariño (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipiales). Las Lajas is one of the most beautiful architectural works in Colombia and since 2007 it is considered one of the seven wonders of Colombia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_W....
The Sanctuary of Las Lajas is a destination of pilgrimage and tourism in Colombia very famous among the devout Catholics of the country. In addition, it is the most beautiful church in Colombia, it was built in the 20th century and its neo-Gothic architecture is something that is worth highlighting. It is approximately 100 meters high and has several artistic works made of flagstone.

Im at Las Lajas right now. The painting isn't a painting. Scientists took samples of the stone and found the actual pigmentation is the stone. Just like the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in CDMX there are no brush strokes. As mentioned in the video it is 100 percent correct that the crowns were fashioned by human hands. Pilgrims originally tried to break off pieces of the image at Las Lajas as souveniers, but the image never faded away as there is no paint, but rather a physical change in the stone.

Andrew, thank you for writing this correction to the narrative the man gave. Too many people listening would have missed one of the miracles had they believed what the guy was saying and how the image was made. First miracle, the little girl could suddenly speak and hear, second miracle, the little girl was playing with Jesus while Mother Mary looked on. Jesus was a child. Third miracle, the little girl died suddenly, village members saw she was dead, her mother took her to the cave and was brought back to life. The little girl was given her earthly life back by God through Mother Mary. The fourth miracle is the image on the rock that isn’t pigment from paint. As you said, core samples of the rock were taken and studied and the image goes feet deep into the rock.

The narrator forgot to mention that the picture of the Rosary Virgin with Baby Jesus with the 2 saints is a miraculous several feet deep miraculous painting, meaning not a painting of man but of God! Also he forgot to mention that at first, several scientists took chips of the painting for the lab and could not explain the origin of the painting...also a monk painted a similar one using plant origin paints, mounted it in the chapel, was put away, forgotten, retrieved it but faded, remounted it in the then chapel and after some time the colors miraculously were restored. So, the several foot stone painting of the Virgin Mary and the man made painting restored are now venerated in the now Cathedral of the Virgin and Child of Las Lajas, Colombia. Considered the most beautiful cathedral of this nation.

Estaba buscando un buen video de la lajas pero no hay. Pensé que este era bueno pero.. es un pesar que empiece con algo tan negativo y como burla sobre el teleférico. Los colombianos tendemos a ver nuestras cosas malas pero ese cable lento es un espectáculo, si consideramos lo bella de la vista. No nos concentremos en lo malo sino en lo bueno. Los extranjeros seguro ni cuenta se darían ya que apreciarían lo bueno, ahora estarán pendientes de algo negativo cuando seguro habrían disfrutado el paseo. Lastima.

What I don't understand Frank is that this man talking jorge on the video and at 8 minutes to 8 minutes and 20 seconds he says says that a hundred years before the image was found and it was painted by a man Pedro Perdone, and all other videos on this say that German geologist bore holes in the image and it was found out that the image is the rock itself it's not painted. So now we have two conflicting stories. If the geologist wanted to really find out and they did and they went in at least a meter or more and it was the same color as the image that proves that this rock is the image of the Blessed Mother and Jesus. It's not a painting it is the Rock itself. This is disturbing because the world and people are evil and they hate Jesus and they hate the Blessed Mother Mary now when you got a conflicting story now you have even more disinformation and blasphemies and heresies to be thrown at the Blessed Mother Mary in Jesus. I have a question what are the straight facts ? This is the only video that says it was painted by a person Pedro perdon. All other videos are the same but the contradiction is the man that you're talking to in front of the Basilica States as a fact that this was a painting. Someone's lying. Is it the German geologist that are lying that boreholes in the image and found that this is not a painting it's of the rock itself or is it this man that you're talking to and the rumor are going around that Pedro padone painted the image? You need to Get the facts straight before you start claiming that what you say is a fact.

The history of how this building was built is complete garbage, and a historical fiction. These types of building were built long before the Catholic Vatican created their mythological stories about their construction. For example, photography was well established worldwide during it's contruction period; hence, where are the construction photographs, genuine photographs, not the altered, cut, and paste manipulated, photographs which are widely shown as evidence of construction? The Catholics re-purposed, already constructed buildings from previous civilizations into their Churches to capture the energy ley lines, and votexes known by previous cultures, and for their own tyrannical, materialistic, power hungry purposes.
