My dad told me that before my brother and I were born he and my mom went to Guadeloupe to see the shrine to Our Lady and the image. They were having trouble conceiving and prayed to God through Our Lady. Months latter my mother was pregnant with my older brother. It was truly a work of God

I spent 30 years in the Protestant church before returning to the Catholic Church. Praying before statues and pictures of Mary was never easy for me to do. Thank you Most Holy Family Monastery. My parents brought a picture back from their trip to Mexico of Our Lady of Guadalupe and I now have it up in my home. However, I did not appreciate the complete and utter exquisite subtlety of it. I will now look anew upon the image with much greater love and reverence as I contemplate all the aspects of Mary and Jesus that are so wonderfully woven into it. Christus Vincit, Christus Regnat, Christus Imperat. Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us.

another miraculous part I find most interesting is that the "ink" that makes up the artwork is floating less than 1mm just above the cloth, and is not embedded or touching the surface! Heaven has some artistic style thats for sure!!
